Archie Bradley Defeats Diamondbacks in Arbitration Case in Increasingly Rare Win for Players
By Michael Luciano

In a year when players winning arbitration cases against their employers is proving increasingly hard to come by, Archie Bradley chalked up a win for the workers earlier today.
The former Arizona Diamondbacks top prospect and ace reliever will be paid $4.1 million this season, bringing the players' record against their parent clubs this season to 5-7.
Archie Bradley has won his arbitration case against the Arizona Diamondbacks and will be paid $4.1 million this season, per source. Hector Neris settled his case with the Philadelphia Phillies at $4.6 million. Final arbitration tally: Clubs won seven cases, players won five.

Bradley has posted a 2.95 ERA in three seasons since he moved to the bullpen. After Greg Holland struggled with consistency, Bradley moved into the closer role, putting up a 3.52 ERA while saving 18 games.
Bradley is still just 27 years old, and the Diamondbacks righty should continue to improve at what is a pretty reasonable price for one of the best setup men in the game.

Bradley has been one of the NL's most consistent middle relievers over the last few seasons, and proved this year he can step in and man a closer role if needed. He's worth more than what the higher-ups in Arizona wanted to pay him, and the arbitration court saw the stats and blistering fastball that backed up his evaluation.
