Argentina won the Copa America Final in dramatic fashion over Colombia
They've done it again. On Sunday night, Argentina and Colombia faced off in Miami in the Copa America Final and 90 minutes wasn't enough time to crown a champion. With Lionel Messi suffering an ankle injury in the second half too, people were nervous about Argentina being able to defend its crown.
Enter Lautaro Martinez. The striker came onto the pitch late in the action and scored the game-winner in the 112th minute. This is a goal that's going to be celebrated for a long time - it was a world-class strike too:
Everything about that was beautiful. Usually Messi relies on Angel Di Maria to save him, but No. 22 stepped up in this case instead. With the victory, Argentina has won three consecutive finals the team has played in. Meanwhile for Colombia, they were hoping for their second Copa America title ever, but they could not get the job done.
