Arik Armstead Claps Back at 49ers Writer Who Predicted Team Would Go 6-10
By Scott Rogust
In an NFL season full of surprises, nothing shocked fans more than the impressive campaign put together by the San Francisco 49ers.
One year ago, the 49ers finished 4-12, setting them up for the second overall pick, used for Ohio State pass rusher Nick Bosa, The rookie, paired with various offseason acquisitions, helped improve the team to 13-3, a leap nobody saw coming.
That includes Grant Cohn of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, who predicted the team would finish 6-10 in 2019. 49ers defensive end Arik Armstead saw this, and decided to call him out on Twitter on Sunday afternoon.
Armstead wasn't done, as he also dragged Ryan Sakamoto of FanSided into the dilemma too.
We can't fault Cohn on his opinion. The man was simply doing his job. Nobody, and we mean nobody, thought the 49ers would win the NFC West crown over the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams, based off the 2018 season.
And we all ate crow and marveled at San Francisco's exciting run to Super Bowl LIV.
Armstead was obviously miffed at the team's detractors throughout the season, but decided to wait until after the Super Bowl to begin clapping back on social media.
