So, this is how the New York Yankees thank their world-beating closer for recording a five-out save in Game 3 of the ALDS on Monday night to clinch their spot in the ALCS, huh?

The New York Post has reported that Aroldis Chapman's LEFT hand was seen "heavily bandaged" while celebrating the victory in the Yanks clubhouse. How did he suffer the ailment?

Well, during the raucous celebration, Chapman was apparently drilled with a flying champagne bottle.

This the EXACT kind of freak injury that would involve a Yankees player, considering virtually every player on their roster has spent time on the Injured List in 2019. Luckily for the Pinstripes, however, the Cuban Missile claims that he is doing OK.

“I was just celebrating and everyone was jumping around,’’ Chapman said via his interpreter. “I got hit with a bottle, but it’s fine.” It's FINE.

Even Brian Cashman commented on the six-time All-Star's wrist to reassure Bronx buffs. “He had a huge smile on his face, so I think that was a good sign," said the general manager.

Chapman has four days to rest up before Game 1 of the ALCS on Saturday. We presume that he'll be good to go, and that would be tremendous news for the Yanks, as the flamethrowing left-hander was nothing short of dominant versus the Twins Monday night.

He surrendered just one hit and struck out three batters in 1.2 innings of work to seal the deal.

We don't have to tell you how important he is to Aaron Boone's bullpen. Stay tuned for updates on Chap's status, folks.
