Things have simply gone from bad to worse for Lakers big man DeMarcus Cousins. Earlier this month, shocking audio was leaked of Cousins allegedly threatening to shoot the mother of his child for not letting the boy attend his wedding.

Now this? Breaking news has surfaced on Thursday, as an arrest warrant has reportedly been issued for Cousins on a domestic violence charge.

DeMarcus Cousins Ex-Girlfriend

Cousins' ex, Christy West, who is also the mother of his seven-year-old son, filed the police report last Friday after TMZ released the clip of him allegedly threatening to put a bullet in her head. Cousins was bashed heavily for what he said, and now he's in some trouble with the law for it, which is no surprise.

Though the man on the recording is only allegedly the NBA All-Star, here is what TMZ released earlier this week.

The Lakers have wasted zero time releasing a statement following Thursday's big update.

"We are aware of the allegation involving DeMarcus Cousins and, of course, take this claim seriously," the Lakers said in a release. "We are in the process of gathering information and will reserve further comment at this time."

In addition to his nightmare off the court, Cousins also suffered a torn ACL this summer. Now, in addition to taking care of his knee, he's also got some legal issues he needs to tend do. Not ideal, DeMarcus.
