VIDEO: Astros 2017 World Series Pennant Ceremony Going Wrong Was a Sign From Baseball Gods
By Jerry Trotta

The Houston Astros unveiled their 2017 World Series Pennant during a ceremony at Minute Maid Park on Thursday, and to say that things didn't proceed as planned would be a total understatement. In a timely and symbolic sign from the Baseball Gods, the tarp on the hardware wouldn't budge when the announcer asked that it be removed.

Call us crazy and superstitious, but these are the sort of things that materialize at pennant ceremonies when a team cheats its way to a world championship.
What makes this blooper all the more hilarious is the fact that there was reportedly a guy with a leaf blower trying tirelessly to blow the tarp off the bling. Though the man doesn't necessarily deserve to be scorned here, his admirable efforts were for naught.
Half out of frame, there’s a guy with a leaf blower just below the banner, waving it around wildly to get the tarp off ?

Not pictured is us snickering uncontrollably.
Karma was waiting to be had, and much like Astros batters being plunked numerous times thus far in Spring Training, this laughable ceremony is just another ingredient of what is sure to be a retribution-saturated season.
