Spring training has started, and so too has the requisite hate for the Houston Astros. In their first game of the preseason, against the Washington Nationals of all teams, the Astros were greeted with a chorus of boos and jeers after they were introduced as the reigning American League champions.

That's to be expected considering their unprecedented success over the last three years has now been tainted by their sign-stealing scandal.
And it wasn't some light scolding they received from the bleachers. They drew an impressive amount of hate and distaste from a crowd that was still filing in.
A loud boo for the Astros as they are introduced as the 2019 American League champions.

And we’re off.
Nobody was spared. Even Orbit, the Astros' mascot, got booed!
Orbit was booed pretty loud when he made his first spring training appearance.

This is just the appetizer of what's to come for this team and their marred reputation. As they make the rounds in Spring Training, they'll draw the ire of opposing fans in attendance, and it's only going to get worse once the regular season starts.
