Astros CF Jake Meyers walks off after scary crash against wall
It's looking like the Houston Astros were able to avoid the worst-case scenario with center fielder Jake Meyers. In the bottom of the second inning, the center fielder tried robbing Gavin Sheets of a solo homer, but he failed to do so.
In the process, Meyers smashed himself against the wall and fell to the ground in a considerable amount of pian. He was removed from the game shortly after this happened.
The good news here is that Meyers was able to walk off under his own power. He even tried to stay in the game, but he was under too much discomfort. The hope is that he won't have to miss too much time.
