Astros Fans Ridiculously Advocating for Walgreens to Turn off the "W" in Their Signs During WS
By Parker White
When you look at the Walgreens logo, it's clear the "W" has a striking resemblance to the "W" found since 2005 in the Washington Nationals logo.
And if you're a passionate Astros fan, you might not feel comfortable shopping at the friendly neighborhood drug store as long as the World Series is still ongoing...unless...
Yes, it would appear there are actually Astros fans in the Houston area who are covering up the "W" at their local Walgreens, and they'd like the rest of the company's locations in the area to do the same.
As you can see, there are many methods available to accomplish this goal. Cover the sign by the front of the driveway with an Astros flag? Check. Turn off the "W" lights on the marquee? Check!
The main issue here, though: The joke is just too easy.
This movement started when the Astros went down 2-0 in the World Series after losing the first two games at home. Well, now Houston is up 3-2, and they have a good chance of closing this thing out at home.
You think taking the "W" down at a Walgreens in Houston is the difference?
