The Houston Astros are nowhere near close to being out of the woods thanks to their sign stealing scandal, and superstar second baseman Jose Altuve is bearing a good deal of the public criticism. Fans at a pregame autograph session were asking to see Altuve's unfinished tattoo on his chest, which his teammate Carlos Corrra cited as the reason he didn't take his jersey off during the team's celebration after his ALCS-winning homer.

Correa claims that the reason Altuve didn't want his jersey ripped off of him in the 2019 ALCS was because he had an unfinished tattoo that looked awful, which goes against Altuve's own position that stated he was "nervous and shy" and trying to help out his wife, who hates when he does things like this. Did he have a buzzer under his jersey? We'll never know for sure.

Altuve and the Astros haven't been getting the warmest of receptions, as they play their first games in Spring Training away from their home confines, and the once-universally-loved Altuve becomes the subject of unrelenting boos.

Any small chance that Altuve and the Astros had of quickly putting this whole mess behind them disappeared when the team's apologies were insincere, short, and riddled with contradictions. Altuve does not have the ugliest tattoo in history, which pokes holes in the theory that it was so bad he made a point of not tearing his jersey off.
