Astros Literally Trade Tyler White to Dodgers for A. Scrubb
By Adam Weinrib

The Houston Astros' Tyler White experiment has officially been deemed a failure, and he's been shipped off to the Los Angeles Dodgers unceremoniously on Thursday.
In fact, the trade was so unceremonious that the return was...A. Scrubb.
As in Andre Scrubb, a reliever the Dodgers were more than happy to get rid of.
Tyler White has been traded from the Astros to the Dodgers for minor league RHP Andre Scrubb, per source. @jakemkaplan had White to Dodgers first.

Scrubb is 6-1 with a 2.45 ERA and 56 K in 47.2 innings at Double-A this season, and the LAD hope he doesn't turn into the type of "Josh Fields-for-Yordan Alvarez" heist that seems to happen between these two franchises these days.
White, given every chance to emulate Evan Gattis' slugging role for Houston, instead hit .225 with a trio of homers this season, though his OBP work was still solid (a .320 mark, nearly 100 points above his average).

This likely won't be the last move for either of these teams at the deadline; both are the class of their leagues, but have some back-end relief spots and pitching depth to shore up, at the very least.
