Astros Need to Cut Ties with Tyler White and Call Up Yordan Alvarez
By Brendan Azoff

The Houston Astros have the best record in baseball at 33-16, but despite their seemingly perfect roster, there is one small adjustment that they could make to put their squad over the top. The Astros should part ways with the struggling Tyler White and call up top prospect Yordan Alvarez.
GET ON YOUR FEET@astros No. 3 prospect @YordanAlvarez2 goes yard again. It's his 19th dinger for @RRExpress.

Alvarez just hit his 19th home run in just his 41st game, pushing his average over the .400 mark at the Triple-A level. In layman's terms, Alvarez is completely tearing up the minor leagues. If the Astros were smart, they would take this secret weapon of theirs and unleash him on the rest of the MLB.
The man he would be replacing in the lineup is Tyler White, a first basemen is hitting just .233 in 86 at bats this year, and has only mustered 9 hits in his last 49 plate appearances.
1⃣9⃣ and counting.

Yordan Alvarez is one shy of his @MiLB career-high in homers after swatting a first-inning rocket for @RRExpress. In only 40 1/2 games he has nearly as many homers as he did in 88 games last year.@astros Top 30 prospects: https://t.co/9C1DApJNnx pic.twitter.com/jeraRfJe9U
There is absolutely no reason not to promote Alvarez as all he has done is rake at the Triple-A level. He clearly has proven that he is ready to make the jump, and the Astros could benefit from having a left-handed power bat in their lineup to counteract the right handed bats they currently have stacked up.
So yes, the rich could potentially get richer, and with the way Alvarez is hitting, it appears the riches will be acquired very shortly.
