Astros Place Brad Peacock on IL and Recall Lefty Reymin Guduan
By Jerry Trotta

Less than 24 hours after Astros right-hander Brad Peacock surrendered six runs on seven hits, including three home runs, in just three innings of work against the Pirates on Thursday, Houston placed the 31-year-old vet on the injured list.
In a corresponding move, the club recalled left-hander Reymin Guduan from the minors to fill his roster spot.

Peacock looked off from the get-go on Thursday, failing to consistently find the strike zone and formulate any sort of command on his off-speed pitches. On top of it all, he yielded three base knocks that topped out at 100-plus mph off the bat.
By no means is Peacock a world-beater of a starter, but even he doesn't let up hits clobbered at such an alarmingly high velocity.
At the time of the initial report, the 'Stros did not disclose the details of Peacock's ailment, but Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle now understands that the Palm Beach Community College product is dealing with right shoulder discomfort.

Over 85 innings in 2019, Peacock is 6-6 and has a 4.13 ERA to his name. His absence will be a tough blow to a Houston team that has lost nine of their last 11 games, including a 10-0 beatdown at the hands of the Pirates on Thursday.
