The Houston Astros and Tampa Bay Rays are set to continue their series against each other on Wednesday, but the pregame proceedings will be a bit different.

In a show of respect, the Astros plan to hold a moment of silence for the family of Rays prospect Blake Bivens, whose wife, son and mother-in-law died in a horrific triple homicide on Tuesday. Bivens' wife's brother has been charged with the crime.

It's a classy move from one team to another. In the wake of such a tragic event, any and all shows of support are vital.

The 24-year-old Bivens was a fourth-round draft pick of the Rays back in 2014 and was in the midst of a quality year in Double-A when the news broke of his family's murder.

The thoughts of baseball fans everywhere are with Bivens. No words will ever do justice in describing what he's endured. Hopefully this moment of silence from the Astros helps remind him that he's not going through it alone and that the baseball world stands behind him.
