Astros Replace Carlos Correa and Aaron Sanchez With Latest Roster Move
By Daniel Marcillo

The Houston Astros have the injury bug, and are digging into their farm system to replace two key players. Luckily, they have a pretty hefty lead over the AL West, which can allow them to tread water.
The uniquely named Cy Sneed and Myles Straw will now attempt to patch the holes in the Astros roster, taking the places of Aaron Sanchez and Carlos Correa.

Straw has played in 40 games this season and is hitting .244 with a .361 on-base percentage and seven stolen bases. He provides some depth and speed at shortstop and the outfield.
Sneed allowed six runs in 12.2 innings during his short time with the Astros earlier in 2019. He figures to add bullpen depth, with Brad Peacock likely to round out the rotation.

Correa has shown a general inability to stay healthy, and it is starting to hurt the Astros. He left Monday's game with a back injury, and there is currently no timetable for him to return. Correa has already missed 50 games this season and will not be forced back quickly, especially with the Stros in a pennant race.
Sanchez lands on the IL with a pectoral injury he had been dealing with over the last couple of weeks. His attempt to pitch through the injury led to a drop in velocity, an unamibguous sign that he needed to miss some time.
