VIDEO: Anti-Astros Signs Being Confiscated at Team's Spring Training Opener is Incredibly Weak
By Sean Facey
It's not even the regular season, and baseball stadiums are already trying to shield the Houston Astros from the hatred of the fans. While at the team's first spring training game of the year against the Washington Nationals, a couple of fans had signs trolling the Astros taken away by security just moments after holding them aloft during the national anthem.
Talk about being soft. They're just simple signs.
These are professional baseball players we're talking about here. This is most definitely not the worst thing they're going to be called this year. If anything, this is the easiest the fans are going to go on them all season.
And the crowd has earned a right to criticize the team. They completely disregarded the integrity of the game and disrespected the fans in the process. It's only fair that the fans get to dish that disrespect back in their face.
This better not become a recurring theme for stadium security in dealing with fans trolling the Astros this year, otherwise the league will only look worse than it already does.
