Multiple Astros Stars Expected to Play for First Time on Monday Following Sign-Stealing Scandal
For the Houston Astros, trying to wipe away the nasty narrative surrounding their sign-stealing scandal has been much harder than they could have imagined.
Players, owners, fans and their mothers remain furious with Houston, and rightfully so. But, with the 2020 season almost here, the team must try to block out the noise and get ready for another campaign. Come Monday, multiple star players will finally make their Spring Training debuts, after staying in the clubhouse this weekend against the Nationals.
If you hear any trash cans being banged, go ahead and assume it's fans in the stands doing some trolling. There's no way Houston will EVER think about doing this again.
Should Jose Altuve deliver a walk-off homer, all eyes will be on if his teammates decide to try and rip his shirt off again. While we kid, these storylines will undoubtedly follow this team throughout the spring, summer and fall.
After their time on the field has ended, mid-game, look for Altuve, Carlos Correa, Alex Bregman and others to speak with the media following their spring unveiling.
If you're an Astros fan, you can only hope their interviews go better than what we saw earlier this month when the team was asked about the scandal. That was just pitiful to watch.
