Astros Unveil Game 6 Lineup for Potential World Series Clincher
By Sam Dunn
Forget about how improbable it seemed even a week ago. The Houston Astros are on the doorstep of history.
The World Series heads back to Minute Maid Park for Tuesday night's Game 6 with the hometown Stros just one win away from their second-ever championship. The road team has somehow, some way won every game in this series so far, but when Justin Verlander is on the mound, you've got to like the AL champs' chances.
Josh Reddick is a notable returner for Houston, batting ninth and playing left field. All eyes will be on Yordan Alvarez, however, who has caught fire in this series after struggling for much of the playoffs. Another spirited performance may clinch not only the championship, but quite possibly World Series MVP honors for the young phenom.
Facing Stephen Strasburg is no picnic. After all, he already out-dueled the Astros and got the better of Verlander in a winning effort in Game 2. But with all the marbles on the line down in Texas, expect the home crowd to come in ready to rattle the opposition.
