Don't look now, but one of the best teams in all of baseball at the moment is the St. Louis Cardinals. The Redbirds are tied atop the NL Central entering the evening, but they'll be tested at home this weekend against the fearsome Houston Astros.

Friday's first pitch is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET at Busch Stadium. The game will be televised regionally on AT&T SportsNet and FOX Sports Midwest, with live streams of the game available on fuboTV the Reddit MLB Streams subreddit.

Right-hander Jose Urquidy will be making his fourth career start tonight, and over his first three he's 1-0 with a 5.54 ERA and 17 strikeouts over 13 innings. His last time out against Texas was by far his most successful, as he went seven innings and allowed one earned run with nine strikeouts.

For the Cardinals to continue their climb in the National League, they need Jack Flaherty to pitch like he did last year. However, in 20 starts this season, he's 4-6 with a 4.24 ERA. But, in the month of July he owns a 2.35 ERA over four starts.
