After going an entire day without MLB baseball, the Houston Astros (57-33) and Texas Rangers (48-42) are here to unofficially kick off the start of the unofficial second half of the major league season.

Astros Lineup
George Springer will lead things off in Houston's return from the All-Star break. Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman and Michael Brantley follow him in the order, with Yordan Alvarez hitting fifth. Jake Marisnick is surprisingly not in the lineup, despite having appealed his two-game suspension.
Framber Valdez, who will serve as the starting pitcher, is 3-4 with a 4.57 ERA on the season. He's made four starts and 14 relief appearances this year, throwing 41 strikeouts across 45.1 innings.
Rangers Lineup
Shin-Soo Choo will lead off for the Rangers, followed by Delino DeShields, Elvis Andrus and Nomar Mazara. All-Star outfielder Joey Gallo is batting fifth, with Danny Santana in the six-hole.
Lance Lynn will look to continue his excellent season for Texas, as he comes into today with a 11-4 record and a 3.91 ERA. He's fanned 123 batters across 115 innings of work.
The first game back from the All-Star break will be a vital AL West clash with Houston looking to extend its division lead while the Rangers continue to fight for a Wild Card spot.
