By Parker White
The Houston Astros (28-15) have been in command of this three-game series with the Detroit Tigers (18-22) from jump street, and now they'll be sending their ace to the mound to go for the sweep.
How to Live Stream the Game
First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. ET at Comerica Park. The game will be televised regionally on AT&T SportsNet and FOX Sports Detroit. You can live stream the game on MLB.TV, as well as on the MLB Streams subreddit.
Astros Lineup
Houston should continue their formidable run with this hot lineup
Right-handed starter Justin Verlander will toe the mound to close this series out against his former team. In nine starts this season, Verlander is 6-1 with a 2.51 ERA and 68 strikeouts over 57.1 innings. The 36-year-old is coming off a dominant performance against the Rangers, tossing seven shutout innings with eight strikeouts.
Tigers Lineup
Niko Goodrum is leading off for the Tigers, with Christin Stewart and Nicholas Castellanos following suit. Red-hot Ronny Rodríguez bats cleanup and plays shortstop.
Detroit is giving the ball to left-handed starter Gregory Soto in the series finale. He made his major league debut last time out and it didn't go well. In four innings of work, Soto allowed 7 earned runs on 9 hits with 2 walks and just 1 strikeout. Hopefully he has a better go of things on Wednesday.
