The New York Yankees (47-27) were able to capture the first game of their four-game set against the Houston Astros (48-28), thanks to a six-run fifth inning, and now the Yankees will have Aaron Judge returning just in time for the weekend.
How to Live Stream the Game
First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET at Yankee Stadium. The game will be televised locally on AT&T Sports Net and WPIX, as well as nationally on the MLB Network. You can also live stream the game Reddit via the MLB Streams subreddit.
Astros Lineup
Alex Bregman gets things going for the 'Stros. Michael Brantley hits second, ahead of Jose Altuve and slugging prospect Yordan Alvarez. Yuli Gurriel bats fifth, followed by Robinson Chirinos, Tyler White, Jake Marisnick and Myles Straw.
Right-hander Brad Peacock will take the mound for Houston in the Bronx, and over 15 appearances (13 starts), he owns a 6-4 record with a 3.67 ERA and 76 strikeouts over 76 innings. This will be Peacock's first start against the Yankees, and in three relief appearances at Yankee Stadium, he has a woeful 15.43 ERA over 2.1 innings. He'll hope to make those numbers look a bit more bearable.
Yankees Lineup
That leadoff hitter, though! Judge will give Peacock a tall task to start the game, and the rest of the lineup doesn't get much easier. Gary Sánchez bats second, followed by Didi Gregorius, Giancarlo Stanton and Edwin Encarnación. Talk about some scary power. Brett Gardner, Gleyber Torres, Gio Urshela and Cameron Maybin round out the order, as Aaron Hicks is sidelined with shoulder inflammation.
Southpaw James Paxton hasn't been the ace starter the Yankees were hoping for, but in 11 starts this season, he owns a 4-3 record with a 3.93 ERA and has 71 strikeouts over 55 innings. Paxton has big time stuff, and in his last start against the Mets, he tossed six innings and allowed just two runs with seven strikeouts.
