The Oakland Athletics (57-44) will look to climb back into the American League West division race as they face the first-place Houston Astros (65-37) on Tuesday. Second-place Oakland sits seven and a half games behind Houston, but currently owns the second wild card spot.

First pitch is slated for 8:10 p.m. EST at Minute Maid Park in Houston, TX. The game will be broadcasted regionally on AT&T Southwest and NBC Sports California while nationally broadcasted on MLB Network. Additionally, the game will be live streamed via the MLB Streams subreddit.

The Athletics lineup only scored one run Monday night, albeit against ace Gerrit Cole. Mark Canha continues to be a bright spot for Oakland, as he had an RBI double in the fourth inning on Monday night. Canha has 16 home runs with a .916 OPS this year.

Oakland will send Mike Fiers (9-3 3.64 ERA) to the mound against his former team. The righty has been phenomenal in his last seven games, goin 4-0 with a 1.79 ERA.

Astros rookie slugger Yordan Alvarez continues to shine in his first taste of MLB action. The DH went 2-3 Monday night with two walks, runs, hits, RBI and a solo shot in the second inning. On the season, Alvarez is hitting .342 with 11 home runs and tied Albert Pujols for RBI in the first 30 career games. Houston is 8-2 in their last 10 games, and even Houston Texans star JJ Watt is taking note on Twitter.

Soft-tossing lefty Wade Miley (8-4 3.25 ERA) will start the game for Houston. Miley has struck out 94 batters against 36 walks in 113.2 innings this season.
