Braves Released an Activity Book for Kids and Every MLB Team Should Do Something Similar
By Sam Dunn
Those of us who have been forced to work from home or find a way to deal with underemployment and unemployment in these days of COVID-19 face challenges, but what about the children? Kids have been confronted with strange realities now that everyone's stuck at home, and not having baseball around to lift them all up in the springtime isn't a happy subject. Fortunately, the Atlanta Braves took it upon themselves to produce an activity book for the younger generation, a smart way to connect with the next generation of fans in these tough times.
In fact, every MLB team should catch some inspiration and find a way to do the same.
Want to color your favorite players? In the mood for a Braves-themed crossword puzzle? How about an maze that works in a bit of a geography lesson? If you've got youngins in your midst that want to rep the A, the Braves are here to help. You can queue up the activity book via PDF and print off as many copies as your little ones could possibly desire.
These days, simple pursuits like reading a book, doing a Sudoku, or starting up an art project are all calling our name, but let's not forget about the kids! You don't have to be a fully-grown adult to appreciate Ronald Acuña, Freddie Freeman, and Ozzie Albies.
