Aubrey Huff Sends Response to Giants After They Announced His Exclusion From 2010 World Series Reunion
If you thought the Astros' sign-stealing scandal was the only drama in Major League Baseball, you haven't followed what's going on between the San Francisco Giants and Aubrey Huff.
On Monday, news broke the Giants will not be inviting Huff to a reunion of the team's 2010 World Series win. Why? The team said it's because of the multiple 'unacceptable comments' Huff has made on social media, which included an incredibly distasteful post about Iranian women.
Late, late Monday night on the west coast, Huff broke his silence and let everyone know how angry he is over the organization's decision, which he believes to be motivated by his support for President Trump.
Huff claimed in his side of the story that the Giants told him he wouldn't be invited due to his posts, as well as his avid support of Donald Trump. Huff went on to say how much he loves Giants fans and that nothing will change that.
Huff has accused the Giants of not allowing him to use his right to free speech. On the other hand, many out there are supporting San Francisco's decision to keep Huff away from the reunion.
This story feels far from over, as both sides think they're in the right. Huff is pretty angry with the decision, especially after he catalyzed SF to the 2010 title. But there remain consequences to free speech, if the power is abused.
