Auburn WR Finds a Way to Get Arrested Twice in One Week
By Jerry Trotta

Get a load of this story, folks, because it may never be replicated again in the history of collegiate athletics.
Auburn wide receiver Jashawn Sheffield has been suspended indefinitely from the team following a pair of arrests in Georgia, both of which transpired in the same week. On May 9, he was arrested on one count of disorderly conduct. Just seven days later, the Tigers' redshirt freshman was booked for a "DUI Less Safe" in Bulloch County.

According to the Montgomery Advertiser, Sheffield spent two days behind bars after each arrest and was released on a $1,576 bond after the second.
So, what does"DUI Less Safe" mean? It can be deemed the appropriate charge in the state of Georgia as long as an officer believes a driver generally shouldn't be behind the wheel because of the consumption of alcohol. Notably, it can be charged even if the driver's blood-alcohol content does not exceed the legal limit.

Oh, what a difference two years can make.
These are terrible optics for Sheffield, and it remains to be seen if he holds any future at Auburn. In 2019, the former 4-star recruited appeared in just one game -- the Tigers' 52-0 rout of Samford in late November -- in which he rushed twice for 30 yards.
