The career of what was once a promising tight end prospect coming out of college is apparently still taking a nosedive.

TMZ reported on Monday that Austin Seferian-Jenkins, who last played for the Jaguars in 2018, was arrested for driving under the influence in Washington on March 9. The 27-year-old was reportedly also charged with driving with a suspended license and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device.

According to the police report, Jenkins was initially pulled over for speeding and illegally changing lanes. The DUI and other charges came after further inspection from the authorities who stopped him.

The former Washington Huskies standout was arrested by Gig Harbor Police and booked into Kitsap County jail.

Disturbingly, this is Jenkins' third DUI arrest.

In 2013, while he was still at Washington, Jenkins was arrested after he crashed his car in a late-night accident. The Huskies subsequently suspended him from the team.

Fast forward to 2016, when Jenkins was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he was booked on suspicion of DUI. He was released by the team less than 24 hours after the incident.

Jenkins signed with the Patriots last offseason, but he failed to make the preseason roster. You really have to ponder if his career in the NFL is 100% over after his latest run-in with the law.
