Babe Ruth Game-Worn Jersey Expected to Sell for Truly Absurd Amount at Yankees Auction
By Parker White

Collectors items in sports can go for big money, but rarely approaching the level a Babe Ruth game-worn jersey is expected to sell for at a Yankee Stadium auction on Saturday.
Ruth is arguably the most iconic player in baseball history, and a game-worn jersey from his private collection would be an incredible addition, but you'd better have a lot of money readily available; it's expected to sell for $4.5 million.

If that's the price tag it sells for, it would become the highest-priced piece of sports memorabilia ever sold, breaking the record of another Ruth jersey that was sold back in 2012.
Big thanks to @HuntAuctions for a great segment on @PowerLunch today! https://t.co/L9zagQqJsr

"This Babe Ruth jersey may prove to be the most valuable piece of sports memorabilia ever," SGC CEO Dave Forman said on the game-worn item.
This won't be the only Ruth item from this private collection being sold. There are plenty more Ruth items being made available for auction, including cleats, contracts, photos, trophies, baseballs, and his personal check ledger.
So, there you go! Some perfect alternatives for the bargain shopper.
