Baker Mayfield Hits Twitter to Give Bizarre Explanation for Feud With Reporter
By Michael Luciano
Cleveland Browns losing is a different kind of losing, and it wears on the souls of everyone associated with that organization.
Baker Mayfield was the latest to express his displeasure with the 2-5 start after tons of hype in the offseason, lashing out at a reporter during his weekly press conference before storming off. Mayfield defended himself on Twitter, citing his competitive fire and desire to win as the main source of his frustration.
Mayfield, who has 12 interceptions against just six touchdowns after throwing 27 in his rookie season, has been getting put through a meat grinder in his second season behind the Browns awful offensive line.
While his passion is commendable, there is a fine line between that and arrogance, especially when dealing with the media, and Mayfield unfortunately crossed it.
It's good that the fire inside of Mayfield hasn't burned out amid the losing and constant turmoil, but lashing out a media member for doing their job is the wrong way to express this.
