Baker Mayfield's Latest Cringeworthy Instagram Post Proves Social Media Needs to Be Shut Down During Quarantine
By Jerry Trotta
Social media without live sports has been brutal.
Occasionally, you'll stumble across something humorous, but for the most part you'll read a bunch of posts that are either cringeworthy or feature people trying way too hard to make a joke about being quarantined.
Unsurprisingly, Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield slid right into that first category after his latest post on Instagram.
At this rate, the human race might be better off if social media was cancelled.
This agenda isn't specifically aimed at Mayfield, but him needing to remind folks that he's working out (congrats?) during quarantine just confirms our viewpoint.
We could go an eternity without seeing another push-up challenge on Instagram, especially ones from NFL quarterbacks that do, um, whatever this is:
Make it stop!
Individuals are spending more time on social media than ever before, and it's becoming more and more intolerable with each passing day. Please, Baker: hop off this cringeworthy bandwagon.
We love that Mayfield's focused on getting himself (back) into shape, but there's nothing wrong with him doing so on his own terms, behind the doors of social media.
