Baker Mayfield Mentality About Forcing Odell Beckham Jr the Ball Further Proves Browns Are Broken
By Michael Luciano
The Cleveland Browns are sputtering out of control, as their much-hyped Baker Mayfield/Odell Beckham Jr. combination has fallen flat. OBJ looks less effective than when he was playing with Eli Manning.
After failing to get Beckham the ball frequently in a loss against the Denver Broncos, Mayfield is going to force-feed Beckham the ball early against a tough Buffalo Bills defense?
Note to Buffalo. Double Odell early and watch the turnovers start flying.
While part of Odell's declining play is on Mayfield and a larger portion is on Freddie Kitchens and that coaching staff, Beckham has less touchdowns than Hunter Renfrow this season, and he shouldn't be totally blameless.
Rather than throw it 50 times against one of the best pass defenses in football, maybe run the ball with your Pro Bowl running back in Nick Chubb? Just a thought.
The Browns, like usual, are in complete disarray just a few months removed from being the hottest team on the block. The wheels keep falling off here.
