Bartolo Colon Has Joined Instagram and MLB Fans Are Losing it

Baseball's most beloved player has made the impossible a reality yet again.

Bartolo Colon, better known as Big Sexy, has made his foray into social media by joining Instagram, sending MLB fans into a frenzy.

The 45-year-old's first post is dated from June 18 and his profile caption literally only says "Big Sexy." He's truly embracing his status as baseball's favorite player.

Colon garnered something of a cult following among baseball fans in the latter years of his career. Things seemed to reach a peak when he slugged a home run off of James Shields and became the oldest player in MLB history to hit his first career home run.

Some of the posts on his feed show him working out, hinting at the fact that the veteran is trying to work his way back into the league. He lasted pitched in 2018, going 7-12 with a 5.78 ERA for the Texas Rangers.

It would certainly be a sight to behold if he did end up back on an MLB diamond. It's not every day a player of his age gets signed in free agency.

For now, though, we'll just enjoy the fact that Colon has made himself a man of the people and available to the fans that adore him so much.
