Baseball Writer Submits Unhelpful Derek Jeter-Only Hall of Fame Ballot
By Adam Weinrib

New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter is a legend, Hall of Famer, gentleman, and scholar.
But this year's Hall of Fame ballot allows you to vote for nine other men in addition to Jeets, which we'd recommend. After all, there are plenty of deserving parties out there who could use your support (if Larry Walker doesn't get in this year, he falls off!).
Well, lending support isn't exactly what ex-Newsday writer Steven Marcus had in mind. He's going Jeter, then going home.
Ballot #3 is from Steven Marcus. No adds or drops for returning candidates on his Jeter-only ballot.

Thank...thank you, bro.
Marcus, who defended his move on Twitter (kudos for at least putting a face to the name), cites the Small Hall as the impetus for his call. He's also getting ratio'd into oblivion right now.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but Marcus hasn't been in baseball for quite a while.
In fact, based on his Twitter account, it seems he's moved onto -- ahem -- other pursuits.
