Bears DC Chuck Pagano Made $100 Bills with His Face on Them and That's Hilarious
By Chris Russo
Chuck Pagano certainly has a way of rewarding his players-- even if those rewards do not have any actual monetary value.
The Chicago Bears defensive coordinator has apparently made his own currency: Chuckbucks.
Safeties Eddie Jackson and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix are just two of the players who became confused when Pagano handed them $100 bills and then discovered his face on them.
Though it's pretty funny, especially considering Jackson believes (understandably) that Pagano printed the currency himself, it's actually also rather nice because Clinton-Dix says Pagano hands them out to a player when he makes a big play.
However, the story is still funny because Pagano was adamant about not discussing the rewards system when asked about it (he also advised not to attempt to use Chuckbucks as legal tender). Lastly, Pagano provided some sound financial "advice" when he insisted that inflation will make a $100 in Chuckbucks worth $105 by the time he's gone.
The Bears defense will need to make Pagano especially proud in Week 7, as they face a difficult New Orleans Saints team on Sunday.
If they play well, the Chuckbucks may mature even sooner than we thought.
