Bears Expected to Promote QB Tyler Bray from Practice Squad

The Chicago Bears and Oakland Raiders will square off this weekend in London, and it appears that veteran backup quarterback Chase Daniel will get the start, as starter Mitchell Trubisky is out with a shoulder injury.
Since Trubisky is out, the Bears need a backup for Daniel, which is why the expectation is that they'll promote Tyler Bray from the practice squad for the international journey of a lifetime.
Chicago just waived defensive lineman Abdullah Anderson, leaving an open roster spot that will likely got to Bray.
Bray went undrafted back in 2013 but ended up signing with the Kansas City Chiefs. He's only appeared in one NFL game, which was back in 2017, when he came in late for mop up duty and threw one incomplete pass.
How long Bray stays on the active roster is unknown, but Trubisky suffered a dislocated shoulder. The thought is he won't miss a ton of time, but that's not a small injury to look past. However, that's Trubisky's non-throwing shoulder, so he shouldn't be sidelined into oblivion.
