Bears Fear Roquan Smith Suffered Torn Pec Against Cowboys
By Chris Russo

Despite winning three straight games, the Chicago Bears might be losing their edge just as soon as they got it back.
Bears linebacker Roquan Smith may have torn his pectoral muscle in Thursday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys, the team fears.
#Bears star LB Roquan Smith is feared to have torn his pec in last night’s win over the #Cowboys, sources say. If the MRI confirms, it would likely knock Smith, who has really impressed recently, out for the season.

Reports indicate Smith, who left early in the 31-24 win over the Cowboys, will be out for the season if his MRI confirms what the Bears believe to be the case.
Signs are not good for the Bears considering even head coach Matt Nagy was not very optimistic.

This is an especially big blow for Chicago considering the recent injury to fellow inside linebacker Danny Trevathan, as well as Smith's outstanding play of late. He recorded his first two sacks of the year, along with 16 tackles, last week in a Thanksgiving Day win over the Detroit Lions. He had also recorded 10 or more tackles in three of the previous four games.
The Bears have not only won three in a row, but four of their last five games, correlating directly with Smith's elevated play.
With three regular season games remaining this year, the Bears trail the Green Bay Packers by 2.5 games for the NFC North lead, and the Minnesota Vikings by 1.5 games the second NFC Wild Card spot.
