VIDEO: Bears LB Roquan Smith's Golf Swing is Brutal
By Scott Rogust
The PGA officially returned this past week, much to the delight of sports fans around the world. Many undoubtedly had the urge to go to theiir local golf range and practice their swings this weekend, just to feel something again. Chicago Bears linebacker Roquan Smith did just that, and posted his swing on his Instagram story on Sunday, but trust us when we say that his form is not great.
See, even the best athletes in the world struggle with their golf swing! But hey, it takes tons of repetition and practice before one can perfect their form.
Smith is entering the 2020 season with high expectations. The former 2018 first-round pick is looking to bounce back from his sophomore slump last season. Prior to suffering a season-ending torn pectoral muscle last December, Smith tallied 101 combined tackles, but allowed 39 completions for 347 yards on 58 targets, but there's extreme confidence that he can play to his true potential in his third season.
If Smith's golf swing proves anything, it's that he was correct to pursue a career in football.
