Bears LB Roquan Smith May Not Play in London Game vs Raiders Due to Personal Reasons

With the Chicago Bears getting ready to cross the pond this week, it's still up in the air whether or not one of their best defenders will hit the gridiron.
Roquan Smith was surprisingly held out of action against the Vikings on Sunday, and with his latest comments, head coach Matt Nagy sure made it seem like the stud linebacker is in doubt to face the Raiders in London.
Bears HC Matt Nagy just now on his day-after-game @WBBMNewsradio appearance would not commit to ILB Roquan Smith playing in London. He said the Bears are “working through” his status and that “we’ll see.” Nagy shared no new info on the personal reasons affecting Smith.

This just keeps Bears fans out there guessing what could be happening.
The Bears deactivated him for Week 4 due to personal reasons, which Smith is evidently still working through.
Matt Nagy won’t clarify anything on LB Roquan Smith, who missed the game as a late scratch for personal reasons and was on the sideline during the game. Asked if it’s a long-term situation or a one-game issue, he declines to say.

With Smith out of action, linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski jumped into the starting lineup and recorded nine total tackles and a sack. Should Smith miss another game, Kwiatkoski would be asked to step in once again.
But for now, we can only hope everything is OK with Smith and his personal life.
