Bears Legend Lance Briggs Calls Out Brewers' Josh Hader After Wild Card Game Meltdown

Josh Hader had an ugly outing for the Milwaukee Brewers during the NL Wild Card game, as he entered in the eighth inning with a two-run lead and promptly gave up three runs (albeit with a little help from Trent Grisham) to give the Nationals the lead, and eventually the win.

In many ways, especially if you ask Hader's rivals in the rest of the midwest, it couldn't have happened to a better guy.

Hader, of course, came under fire midway through the 2018 season for numerous downright offensive tweets he'd launched during his high school career, and never deleted. And the world did not let him forget, following the conclusion of the 2019 season. Ladies and gentlemen, Lance Briggs, speaking for Chicago, has entered the chat.

It makes sense that Briggs, the longtime Bears star linebacker, would take a shot at Hader. After all, the Brewers and Green Bay Packers share the same state and many of the same fans, and as one of the Packers' former foes, Briggs would take any opportunity to throw some shade at anything Wisconsin-based.

However, Briggs is most definitely referencing Hader's incredibly racist and homophobic tweets from his high school years that were unearthed around the MLB 2018 All-Star break.

In case you missed it, Hader was pitching in the All-Star game last year when someone uncovered a bunch of NSFW tweets from Hader's account.

Things got so bad that members of Hader's family at the game (coincidentally also at Nationals Park, near the DMV, where he was born and raised) were given blank jerseys to wear instead of jerseys that said "Hader" on the back.

Since then, fans have been ruthless towards Hader, especially during his outings.

And now, Lance Briggs is the latest person to bring those infamous tweets up again, just when things couldn't get any worse for Hader on the field.
