Bears OL Bobby Massie Inactive for Monday Night Football Against Redskins Due to Illness
By Michael Luciano

The Chicago Bears, owners of one of the strongest offensive lines in the league, decided to make one of their starters inactive for an unidentified reason.
Starting right tackle Bobby Massie was among of the seven inactive players listed ahead of Monday Night Football against the Washington Redskins, despite not being listed on the injury report throughout the week.

An eight-year veteran who has split his career evenly between the Bears and Arizona Cardinals, Massie has started all but two games during his four years in Chicago.
Mike Garofolo has since reported that Massie is sick, and can't go tonight.

With Massie out, either six-year veteran Cornelius Lucas or 2017 undrafted free agency Rashaad Coward will start in his place.

Ryan Kerrigan and the Redskins can already get after most offensive lines, so the loss of a player like Massie is not what the struggling Mitch Trubisky and the Bears needed to get out of neutral.
