Bears RB David Montgomery a Game-Time Decision for Sunday Night vs Rams With Ankle Injury
By Michael Luciano

The Chicago Bears, already struggling to find a way to move the ball with any degree of reliability on offense, could be in danger of taking on Aaron Donald and the Los Angeles Rams without their top dog in the backfield.
Emerging rookie running back David Montgomery tweaked his ankle mid-week, and Matt Nagy made it clear on Friday the RB might not suit up against the Rams.
After injuring his ankle in practice this week, Bears coach Matt Nagy says RB David Montgomery is a pre-game decision.

The release of Mike Davis has really come at a most inopportune time.
Montgomery was finally starting to find his groove on offense. The rookie out of Iowa State has 466 yards rushing on 129 carries for five touchdowns, with more than half of those yards coming in the last three games.
Montgomery is going to be either out or hobbled in this game. If he is ruled inactive, he'll join Adam Shaheen, Trey Burton, and Danny Trevathan on the long list of injured Bears.
The #Bears have ruled out TEs Trey Burton and Adam Shaheen.

And RB David Montgomery is a “game-time decision” ... and LB Danny Trevathan has a serious elbow injury ...
The #Bears’ coordinators need their best contingency plans right now. https://t.co/1ttDk4yZ5q
The Bears have a primetime matchup on deck, and might have to use a 5-6 speedster and a converted wide receiver in Tarik Cohen and Cordarrelle Patterson, respectively, at tailback. Not ideal.
