Bears Sign Khalil Mack's Brother as UDFA

Even after the 2020 NFL draft came to a close, there were still plenty of moves to be made by teams. And one in particular will certainly catch the attention of Bears fans. Chicago made headlines by signing undrafted free agent and defensive end Ledarius Mack, the brother of Bears superstar Khalil Mack.
The younger Mack transferred from ASA College in Hialeah, Fla. to his brother's alma mater Buffalo. He wrapped up the final two years of his college career there. Now, he's joining his big bro in the windy City.
Bears General Manager Ryan Pace spoke to the Chicago Sun-Times about the decision to bring in a second Mack brother stating, “With Khalil’s brother, that’s definitely something that we’re looking forward to. It’s something that worked out for us. It will be unique having two brothers on the same team.”
If Ledarius Mack makes the Bears final roster, he and Khalil will join the growing list of brothers playing on the same team, one that includes the McCourty twins in New England, and the Griffin brothers in Seattle.
Mack had a strong year at Buffalo in 2019, recording eight sacks and 12 tackles for loss. But, he has a tough task ahead to uphold the Mack family standard. If he needs any motivation, it should come from the previously successful UDFAs.
James Harrison, Arian Foster and Antonio Gates (to name a few), all went undrafted, but made the most of their opportunities when they had them and went on to have extremely successful careers. Ledarius Mack will have to do the same if he wants to play alongside his brother.
