Bears Suddenly List Mitchell Trubisky as Questionable for Week 7 Despite Practicing All Week
By Sean Facey
It seemed like Mitchell Trubisky was on track to return to the gridiron again, but the Chicago Bears have shed some more doubt over their franchise star's health.
The team has listed the young quarterback as questionable for their Week 7 matchup against the New Orleans Saints despite the fact that he had practiced with no reported issues all week. Trubisky has been recovering from a dislocated shoulder that he suffered in a game against the Minnesota Vikings.
It's odd to say the least that the Bears would list Trubisky as pretty much a coin flip to play despite the fact that he was practicing without a hitch in the week leading up to the game. The Saints defense poses a particularly difficult challenge as well, with Marshon Lattimore patrolling the secondary.
Head coach Matt Nagy was asked about the change in status and simply said that it's a process for him to recover both mentally and physically, and that so far he's done a fine job.
Having Trubisky start over Chase Daniel would be a welcomed sight in the Windy City. Daniel struggled in his first start for the Bears this year, throwing two interceptions against the Raiders in Week 5 that ultimately cost the team a win.
Needless to say, until Sunday rolls around, the Bears' starter under center for Week 7 will remain a mystery.
