Bears trade Justin Fields to the Steelers in a stunner
For a while now, there's been plenty of speculation that the Chicago Bears could move on from former first-round pick Justin Fields. On Saturday night, that's exactly what has happened, as Fields is now headed to the AFC North.
That's right, news broke that the Pittsburgh Steelers, who recently signed Super Bowl winner Russell Wilson to a new deal, have landed Fields from Chicago. This is a trade that not a lot of people saw coming, that's for sure.
With Fields leaving Chicago, the Bears are now in need of a new franchise signal-caller. Luckily for general manager Ryan Poles, he has the No. 1 overall pick in the first round of late April's NFL Draft. The strong belief is that USC's Caleb Williams will be on his way to The Windy City. At this point, it'd be a shock if the Bears don't take him off the board first come draft night.
