VIDEO: Bengals RB Joe Mixon Attempts to Celebrate But Accidentally Knocks Over Ref With Helmet Toss

The Cincinnati Bengals embarrassed the Cleveland Browns in Week 17 with a 33-23 victory to finish 2-14 on the year. Such a poor record didn't stop Joe Mixon from celebrating after his 162-yard day, though. Actually, it was more of an attempt to celebrate by throwing his helmet... until a referee got in the way.

The Bengals took a knee to close out the season, and Mixon taking out the ref was a perfect representation of their 2-14 year in a nutshell. The Bengals can't even perform a proper celebration! Mixon let go of his helmet and immediately took out the official. It was instantaneous.

Cincy just cannot have nice things.

Mixon had plenty to celebrate after reaching the 1,000-yard mark on the season, though that came in one of the worst seasons in franchise history. Maybe Mixon was subconsciously taking out some anger against the refs by oddly dipping down low to try to slide his helmet across the field? If so, it would be hard to blame him.
