Best All-Time NFL Combine Performances From Georgia Players
By Michael Luciano

Georgia is a haven for 5-star recruits and a factory that pumps out some of the most athletically gifted pro players the sport has to offer. The NFL Combine, the ultimate athleticism proving ground, has often been a springboard that Bulldogs have used for years to help increase their pro stock. We've seen many great combine performances from Bulldogs over the years, but these four take the cake.
4. Tim Jennings, 2006
Jennings played for a decade in the league, nine seasons of which were spent with either the Colts or Bears, but he was first a combine warrior. Jennings was timed at 4.31 in the 40 yard dash, with his 10-second split coming in as one of the top marks across defensive backs and wide receivers. The agile corner with great ball skills shot up draft boards after those times, and he ended his pro career with 20 picks, two Pro Bowls, and a Super Bowl ring.
3. Nick Chubb, 2018
Chubb helped put to bed questions about his speed and agility at the combine, when the 220-pound back ran a 4.52 in the 40 yard dash and exceeded expectations in the short shuttle drills. Aided by the show he put on in Indianapolis in which he also bench pressed 225 pounds an impressive 29 times, Chubb went 35th overall to the Cleveland Browns, and he almost won a rushing title in Year 2.
2. Jeff Owens, 2010
Owens' pro career lasted just one season, but he will live on forever in the minds of those who saw him at the bench press. Owens did a mind-bending 44 reps, which is only a few off of the all-time mark. The former Bulldog relied on raw power to win 1 on 1 matchups in college, but he lacked the speed or technical refinement in his game to make it with the Philadelphia Eagles in the pros.
1. Chris Conley, 2015
Conley is still an athletic freak, but he was even more of a freak when he lit the combine on fire in 2015. Conley ran a 4.35 40-yard dash at 6-3 and 205 pounds, all the while setting records in the broad jump (later broken by Byron Jones) and vertical jump (which has yet to be topped to this day.) Conley was not retained by the Kansas City Chiefs, and is currently plying his trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hopefully his athletic gifts will finally help him take off down there.
