3 Best Colts Players Under 25
By Nick Porr
After adding veteran quarterback Phillip Rivers in the offseason, all eyes have been on the older guard of the Indianapolis Colts. Although Indy has plenty of veteran talents, they also have young guys who can ball out.
Heading into the 2020 NFL season, these are the three best Colts players under the age of 25.
3. RB Marlon Mack
Marlon Mack had the best season of his career last year for the Indianapolis Colts. His 1,091 rushing yards put him 11th in the NFL and his eight touchdowns were tied for ninth in the league. Mack is as explosive and strong as a running back get, and his success will be key to the Colts' offense in 2020.
2. LB Darius Leonard
In just two seasons in the NFL, Darius Leonard has already achieved more than most players do in their careers. Selected No. 36 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft, Leonard earned an All-Pro selection in his rookie season. He put up another great season in 2019, earning a Pro-Bowl appearance after totaling 121 combined tackles. Just 24 yers old, Leonard is already one of the best defenders in the NFL.
1. LG Quenton Nelson
Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett finished with an 88.0 passer rating in 2019, a solid number for someone considered a career backup by many. A lot of that success is due to Quenton Nelson, who was a stud at left guard for the Colts last season. The two-time All-Pro has been a star blocker since he was drafted No. 6 in the 2018 NFL Draft. He will be key to protecting the aging Phillip Rivers in 2020.
