The Biggest Trap Game on Oklahoma's Schedule in 2020
By Emily Adams

The Oklahoma Sooners had another high-flying season last year, winning the Big 12 championship and making it to the College Football Playoff. They'll have a tough road getting back there this year given the talent across the conference, but there is one game they need to be especially wary of.
TCU gave the Sooners a major run for their money last season, and they're positioned to complete on the upset this season. Scheduled for Oct. 31, OU will notably take on the Horned Frogs one week after the big Bedlam rivalry game with Oklahoma State, and they have a brutal path even before that with Texas, Baylor and Iowa State coming up in succession. It's got "trap game" written all over it.
There are plenty of challenging conference matchups and even a few trap games, but Oklahoma's saving grace this fall may be a weak non-conference schedule. https://t.co/rTQwMVY3zZ

The game will be in Fort Worth and is intended to take place on Halloween, which could make for an eerie kind of home field advantage for TCU. Gary Patterson's team is returning breakout quarterback Max Duggan, and the duo of Ar'Darius Washington and Trevor Moehrig at safety could cause problems for an Oklahoma offense spoiled over the last three seasons by elite quarterback play from the departed Jalen Hurts, Kyler Murray, and Baker Mayfield.
All our aways are trap games in 2020: Army, Iowa State, TCU, West Virginia, and Tech. My vote is one a them.

Last year, Oklahoma blew out TCU on the stat sheet, but the final score had them ahead just 28–24, a little too close for comfort. The Horned Frogs have proven that they can hang in there with top teams, so unless Oklahoma comes ready to play, we could see some CFP hopes prematurely dashed.
