Bill Belichick is who he is. Up and down the NFL coaching ranks, you'd be hard-pressed to find another man who better exemplifies the "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" aphorism. This guy ain't gonna suddenly reinvent himself at such an age. The New England Patriots coach is always going to stone-face reporters in post-game press conferences and cut the sleeves off his hoodies.

But also, he may have turned into a dog.

What's going on here? Consider the evidence: the live NFL Draft television broadcast clearly notes in its chyron that the person we're seeing on the screen is Bill Belichick, and it's not like this room is empty. There is someone seated at Belichick's computer. It is a dog.

The dog must be Belichick.

Or, well, maybe not.

No, the Pats head coach did not turn into a dog -- he just allowed one to take over his war room on the single most important day of the NFL offseason.

And this dog clearly loves defensive backs from Division II schools, I guess. Who knew?
