Bill Belichick Has Classic Response to Question About Tom Brady's Departure
By Jerry Trotta

If you were wondering if Tom Brady's departure would spark a sudden change in regards to how Bill Belichick approaches interviews, well, think again.
The New England Patriots head coach addressed Brady's departure from Foxborough after two decades of success, and he unsurprisingly provided a blunt response. In fact, he made it clear that his focus is instead on this month's NFL Draft.
Bill Belichick: "It would be impossible to sum up everything Tom (Brady) did into one comment. ... I'm sure we'll be talking about him for years and decades to come, but our focus is on the draft here."

That's about as Belichick as it gets, folks. Not even separating from a quarterback with whom he won six Super Bowl rings can get the 67-year-old to open up and wax poetic.
However, this is the way it should be, especially when you take into consideration Belichick's success (or lack thereof) in recent drafts. Slated with the No. 23 overall pick this year, the coaching legend has A LOT to sort out in the next two weeks.

After all, he's now forced to confront a crossroads at the quarterback position for the first time since his unsuccessful five-year stint with the Cleveland Browns in the mid-1990s.
The bottom line here is that TB12 leaving in free agency hasn't at all changed how Belichick interacts with the media. He's still the same old stone-faced future Hall of Famer.
